From plane to sea we land, rest our sleepy heads after 1 day in the sky… we embark onto a katamaran for 6 days on the ocean… gently sailing on blue waters with islands, sea life passing under our feet. Drop into the bluest of blue oceans gliding through schools of fish with only our flippers, wait did I just find Nemo & Dory. The oceans showed signs of life, beauty and sickness as oh the Coral did speak. Gentle breeze, rays of light, and the cradle of the napping spot in the netting of the boat all while sitting deep with your thoughts. Early morning swims with sea turtles was majestic. Thought provoking conversations with young, bright and successful foreigners with a zest for life.
Back to land we go, rest our sea legs in Sideman pronounced Sid-a-men where we rinsed salt, sand, sunscreen from ourselves. 45 years came fast, I lay by the pool looking into nature thankful for where my life is as I have been true to the world and myself. Mother nature and I in all its glory appreciative for life. Trekked rice patties with a local, understanding farming cycles, temples where you do not dare go if you are not appropriately dressed or menstruating.
Met the King of Ubud by the pool, who owned the majestic property.. watched Balinese dancers and winded down the two weeks chasing botanicals and watching the light float.
